A top-ranked college football recruit announced that he is converting to Islam.
Gunnar Gillentine, the No. 1-ranked punter in the Class of 2027, announced his commitment to Mississippi State. The 6-foot, 185-pound kicker has major strength and extreme precision. Mississippi State coach Jeff Lebby and special teams coordinator Cliff Odom prioritized the kicking specialist on the recruiting trail.
“I’m going to be working in the weight room a lot this offseason,” Gillentine is excited to get better. “I want my leg to be as strong as it can possibly be… I know that when the ball is turning over, it can come with a lot more distance.”
