Steve Kerr’s Surprising Message to Brandin Podziemski That Could Change His Career Trajectory
Brandin Podziemski of the Golden State Warriors just pushed through an inopportune and unfortunate shooting slump, but his Wednesday night performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves was something to write home about.
Speaking to NBC Sports after the team’s 121-110 loss to the T-Wolves, head coach Steve Kerr talked about Podziemski and all that he did for the team.
He also mentioned how important this series will be for Podziemski’s development.
“This was a great experience for [Brandin Podziemski],” Kerr told reporters after the loss. “There were times in this series where he was hesitant to shoot, even tonight he was 4-for-6. I thought he could’ve gotten 10 or 11 threes off, and we needed those. And I told him that after the game, I said, ‘When we get back here next season, you are not going to turn down a single shot.”
