The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder, known for his aggressive yet technically sound play, was also weighing offers from Tennessee and Michigan, making this one of those unexpected but fascinating recruiting twists. Coming out of Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho, Tanner’s 3-star rating and national ranking didn’t stop him from being a top prospect out West. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder is considered one of the top IOL prospects in the West due to his aggressive style of play combined with sound technique on the interior. But he’ll be taking those talents to Provo, Utah, instead of Eugene.For the 2026 recruiting class, Oregon has already secured the commitment of two offensive tackles (five-star Immanuel Iheanacho and four-star Tommy Tofi) along with three-star IOL Koloi Keli also set to join the Ducks.
Tanner, a 3-star recruit per 247 Sports, is from Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho. He was ranked 46th in the nation at his position and 515th overall.
