But remarkably, Young has yet to win the NBAâs Clutch Player of the Year in the first two years of its existence. The league officially introduced the award in 2022-23, with its recipient receiving The Jerry West Trophy. West earned the nickname âMr. Clutchâ over the course of his great career with the Lakers.
