Tim Tebow has made it clear throughout his career that he’s never going to be afraid to speak his mind. 

Tebow had an extraordinary college career at Florida, winning two national titles and claiming the Heisman Trophy in 2007. During his four-year run with the Gators, he had 9,285 passing yards, 2,947 rushing yards and 145 total touchdowns. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.  

Since moving on from the game of football, Tebow has done a lot of community work. He’s also using his foundation to fight against human trafficking and child exploitation. 

Roughly a year ago, Tebow testified before Congress at a hearing for a bill that would fund a rescue team for sexually abused children. The former NFL quarterback started off his speech with a letter sent to him from a victim of sexual abuse. He then encouraged lawmakers to take immediate action.  

“I’ve had the privilege of playing for a lot of sports teams in my life,” Tebow said in March 2024, via NY1. “And on almost all of them, we’ve had incredible resources to give us a better chance at winning a game, something that ultimately, as much as we care about it, doesn’t matter. Why would we not give as much, if not more resources, to the frontline heroes that are going after the most vulnerable boys and girls on the planet?”

A few months later, Tebow made it clear that this fight isn’t close to being over. 

“We’ve been in this fight for over 10 years, since my dad was overseas and able to purchase the freedom of four little girls and I just knew that day that I was called to fight for the most vulnerable and that’s what we’re trying to do and we’re fortunate to do that in 90 countries around the world to fight for the MVPs: the world’s most vulnerable people,” Tebow said last August. 

Fast forward to April 2025, where Tebow was spotted at the White House with President Trump. A photo of him doing the “Gator Chomp” in the Oval Office went viral on social media. 

Tebow, who has been very open about his Christianity, shares similar religious beliefs with Trump. Many people believe the former first-round pick also has the same political beliefs. 

Even though Tebow hasn’t definitively said that he’s a member of the Republican Party, he has been invited to a few Republican conferences. Additionally, he has made headlines for his pro-life remarks.

“I do stand up for what I believe. And at least you can respect that,” Tebow said.

While there are plenty of people criticizing Tebow for visiting Trump, we doubt he’ll apologize for stopping by the White House.
