So, here we are again, caught in the swirling drama of NFL trade whispers, and this time, it’s the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints stirring the pot. Have you ever wondered what happens when fresh hope meets desperate ambition? The Giants, sparked by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart’s electrifying play, are inching closer to relevance — but could adding Saints’ wideout Chris Olave be the magic ingredient they’ve been missing? Imagine, a trade that swaps draft picks for a young, hungry receiver fresh off a shaky injury year but now showing serious promise. It’s a move that’s got folks buzzing: Will the Giants’ offense finally find the spark to light up the scoreboard, or is this just another gamble flirting with ‘what if’? Either way, with playoff chances lingering in the air and trade deadline fever on the rise, this potential blockbuster deal is one to keep your eyes glued to. The New York Giants have a renewed sense of hope and excitement ever since quarterback Jaxson Dart took over for Russell Wilson, especially after the rookie helped the team dismantle the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.

While it’s possible the Giants might already be too far behind to make the playoffs, it’s not out of the question, which is why there are whispers that they could be aggressive at the NFL trade deadline.

Analyst Doug Rush recently proposed a deal that would have the Giants send a fourth-round pick and a seventh-round selection to the New Orleans Saints for wide receiver Chris Olave and a sixth-round choice.

After an injury-plagued 2024 campaign, Olave is off to a good start this season with 39 receptions for 342 yards and one touchdown, and at 25 years old, he has the potential to be the Giants’ long-term WR2 alongside Malik Nabers.

On paper, Olave would be a great fit and would make Dart’s life easier, and with New Orleans’ future much more uncertain than New York’s, his name is going to come up a lot in trade rumors over the next few weeks.

The Saints have already exercised the fifth-year option on Olave’s contract, so if the Giants do trade for him, it would be wise to extend him as part of the deal.

It’s only speculation, but Olave could be a massive addition for the Giants’ offense this year and in the future.
