Tragic Mystery: Promising High School Football Star’s Life Cut Short in Suspicious ‘Accidental’ Shooting
Xyere Brooks, a high school football player out of Camden, New Jersey, was shot and killed inside of a home last week. He was a standout high school football player. He was shot and killed in the middle of the afternoon on Friday, June 6.
According to reports, a gun was put to Brooks’ head and went off by accident.
She put the gun to his head, and I guess she didn’t expect it to go off. To make a long story short, the gun went off on my brother, and he’s no longer here with us,” the victim’s brother, Manazh Tompkins, said.
