Tyler Warren’s Status in Jeopardy: What His Potential Absence Means for Week 3 Showdown Against the Titans
The Colts find themselves walking a tightrope heading into Week 3, with tight end Tyler Warren’s availability hanging in the balance due to a pesky toe injury. Warren, who’s been leading the charge with 155 yards and 11 catches this season, missed practice on Wednesday and saw limited reps on Thursday and Friday, leaving a cloud of uncertainty hovering over Indianapolis’ offensive game plan. Coach Shane Steichen, in typical guarded fashion, kept his cards close to his chest during Friday’s press conference, offering nothing more than a noncommittal “We’ll see” when probed about managing Warren’s workload. Adding to the team’s injury conundrum, cornerback Charvarius Ward remains questionable after suffering a concussion, though he did manage three full practices this week. Thankfully, the rest of the squad, including defensive end Laiatu Latu who was nursing a hamstring issue, has shaken off concerns and is slated to play. This week’s injury report certainly has fans on edge, and it’s anyone’s guess how it will impact the Colts’ early season momentum.
