Unbelievable Seahawks Stats Reveal Shocking Dominance You Never Expected

So, here’s a head-scratcher for you: How does a team shed star receivers like D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, while skeptics caution that Sam Darnold’s past success was a one-off… and still manage to quietly morph into one of the league’s toughest contenders? Yeah, the Seattle Seahawks aren’t just flying under the radar—they’re redefining what it means to be a “dark horse.” Under Mike Macdonald’s razor-sharp defensive guidance, this squad isn’t just holding their own; they’re dominating on both sides of the ball. After ten weeks, they sit comfortably in the NFL’s top five for yards per play—second on offense, third on defense—which is no minor feat. With the upcoming challenge against the sizzling Los Angeles Rams on the horizon, the question isn’t if the Seahawks can survive the big leagues—it’s whether they’ll soar all the way to the Super Bowl. Buckle up, because this season’s storyline might just rewrite the Seattle script in ways nobody saw coming.

The Seattle Seahawks entered the season as a bit of a dark horse, but they had some big questions to answer. They moved on from D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, and some people thought Sam Darnold’s breakout year with Kevin O’Connell and the Minnesota Vikings was a fluke.

Fast forward to today, and they have shown that it wasn’t the case. If anything, they’ve been much better than expected.

Mike Macdonald has proven – again – to have one of the sharpest defensive minds in the game, and this team is thriving on both ends of the field. That’s even more evident in a post shared by Pro Football Focus on X. After 10 weeks, they average the second-most yards per play on offense, and they give up the third-fewest yards per play on defense, being the only team that ranks in the top five in both of those categories.

The Seahawks have proven that they can hold their own against some of the best teams in the league. They will face a steep challenge on Sunday, as they will hit the road to face off with the red-hot Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

That will be a great test to let everybody know just how good a team they are and that they can sit at the big boys’ table and be considered a legitimate Super Bowl contender. There’s still plenty of football to be played this season, but so far, they have done an amazing job of silencing the doubters.
