Unbelievable Streak: The Untold Story Behind Baseball’s Longest Home Run Run

Most Consecutive Postseason Games With a Home Run By a Team

1. 23 – New York Yankees (10/04/2019 – 10/19/2022)

You’d think a team that homered in 23 consecutive playoff games would have had more success, but the Yankees couldn’t get past the rival Houston Astros in the 2019 and 2022 ALCS. They also fell to the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2020 ALDS and the rival Boston Red Sox in the 2021 AL Wild Card Game.

  • 2. 17 – Arizona Diamondbacks (10/14/2007 – 10/16/2023)
  • 3. 16 – Texas Rangers (10/04/2023 – ACTIVE)
  • T-4. 14 – Houston Astros (10/20/2017 – 10/14/2018)
  • T-4. 14 – Los Angeles Dodgers (10/12/2020 – 10/06/2021)

1. 6 – Freddie Freeman, Atlanta Braves/Los Angeles Dodgers (10/31/2021 – 10/29/2024)

The 2024 World Series between the Dodgers and Yankees features Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts. However, it was Freeman who stole the show with a walk-off grand slam in Game 1 and then homers in Games 2, 3 and 4 to break Springer’s record and lead the Dodgers to their first full-season title since 1988. After going 6 for 20 (.300) with four homers and 12 RBIs, he was named the World Series MVP.
