Unbelievable Super Bowl Moments: The Longest Plays That Changed Football Forever
Longest Kickoff Return: Jacoby Jones, 108 yards, on Feb. 3, 2013
Jones had a lights-out return. Literally.
Jones took the opening kick of the second half 108 yards for a touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers, and shortly after, the Superdome in New Orleans experienced an electrical failure that caused a delay.
It looked at the time like Jonesâs return was the cherry on top of a dominant victory for the Baltimore Ravens, but it ended up being a huge play in determining the outcome. It gave the Ravens a 28-6 lead, but after the blackout, the 49ers scored three touchdowns and cut the 49ers lead to two points.
