Reed was instrumental on the road to the CFP semifinals, logging eight total tackles and one sack against Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl before keeping things up with six tackles (including one for a loss) against Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl.
The Lions already have two elite safeties, Kerby Joseph, who was All-Pro last season, and Brian Branch, who made the Pro Bowl.
