2006 San Diego Chargers (9.6)

The two seasons with the most wins in franchise history both ended in disaster during the LaDainian Tomlinson-Philip Rivers-Antonio Gates era. Tomlinson rushed for career highs with 1,815 yards and 28 touchdowns in 2006, leading the then-San Diego Chargers to a franchise-best 14-2 record. The team rolled into the playoffs with a 10-game winning streak before – stop us if you’re heard this before – Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the Patriots pulled off a 24-21 win in the AFC divisional round.
