For a long time, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys were viewed as the favorites to draft Boise State‘s Ashton Jeanty. But as the weeks go on, it’s beginning to look like the Heisman Trophy runner-up will begin his NFL career elsewhere.

The Cowboys pick in the No. 12 spot next month. However due to the new premium being put on the running back position, many believe the Broncos’ 2,600-yard rusher could find himself going in the top 10.

According to DraftKings, the Las Vegas Raiders, who own the sixth overall pick, are -125 favorites to take Jeanty.

And it doesn’t sound like the first-team All-American would be too upset about donning the Silver and Black after seeing the team’s representatives at his Pro Day.

“Great organization,” Jeanty told KTVB 7 News. “They’ve got a few pieces and I know they could use a running back. So they’ve got that nice pick, number six, so, we’ll see what happens. It’s been great meeting with them, meeting with their running backs coach. So, it’s cool that he came out all this way to meet with me.”

Other franchises to keep an eye out for per the DK Sportsbook are the: Chicago Bears (+190), Dallas Cowboys (+750), San Francisco 49ers (+1400), New Orleans Saints (+1400) and New England Patriots (+1800).

All of those teams own picks inside the top 15, so it doesn’t seem like Ashton is going to have to wait too long to here his name called when the draft takes place in Titletown.

Jeanty has drawn comparisons to all-time greats like Emmitt Smith and LaDainian Tomlinson. And in the right situation, he definitely appears to have All-Pro potential.
