During his Notre Dame tenure, Peloquin helped shape rosters that reached two national championship games and multiple College Football Playoff appearances, working under head coaches Bob Davie, Ty Willingham, Charlie Weis, Brian Kelly and Marcus Freeman. As director of football development and player personnel, he played a key role in securing several top-10 recruiting classes while coordinating long-term roster strategy.
Peloquin, a 2003 Notre Dame graduate, left the Irish in 2025 to become general manager of the collegiate division at Athletes First, where he oversaw NIL-centric representation and helped guide college players through an evolving marketplace. That recent experience in the Name, Image and Likeness space, combined with two decades of institutional knowledge from Notre Dame, is thought to be a major reason why Michigan has targetted him and is now expecting Dave to be the lead in Michigan’s roster-building approach as the Wolverines turn to a familiar Irish architect to navigate college football’s new era.
