Unlock the Secret Twist Behind Today’s Most Shocking Breakthrough!
You ever wonder how a team that looks so primed on offense suddenly finds itself squinting at a glaring defensive hole? That’s exactly the predicament the Green Bay Packers are facing this offseason. With an offense that’s practically bursting at the seams, you’d think they’d coast into draft season without much fuss. But nope—turn the spotlight to the defensive line, particularly the nose tackle spot, and suddenly the puzzle gets a lot more intriguing. Despite losing heavy hitters like Kenny Clark and T.J. Slaton, the Packers seem poised to dig deep into the draft pool for some hidden gems nobody’s talked about yet. So, who are these under-the-radar DT prospects linked to the Packers? And can a team without a first-round pick really patch up a defense that’s had its share of struggles before Jeff Hafley took over? Buckle up, because this isn’t just another draft preview—it’s a peek into what might just be the Packers’ secret weapon to keep grinding late into the season.

The Green Bay Packers‘ offense is absolutely stacked.
And while all good things can get better, chances are they won’t use that many resources on that side of the field in the offseason.
Other than maybe adding more depth to the offensive line, they should be all set in that regard.
The defense, however, could be a different story.
They have plenty of talent on that side of the ball as well, but they could certainly use more help in the defensive tackle department, more specifically at nose tackle.
With that in mind, Bleacher Report’s NFL Draft Scouting Department linked them to three unranked defensive tackle prospects: Florida State’s Darrell Jackson Jr., Georgia’s Christen Miller, and Iowa State’s Domonique Orange:
“While defensive tackle has been discussed previously for the Packers, the focus there was on the position as a whole. Here, we’ll take a look at three nose tackles to replace what the defense lost this offseason with the departures of Kenny Clark and T.J. Slaton. Jackson and Miller would be great fits in Jeff Hafley’s defense since both can line up as a shade nose and are very impressive run defenders. Meanwhile, Orange primarily plays as a 0-technique at Iowa State, but shouldn’t have many issues sliding over a touch if need be in Green Bay,” per BR NFL Draft Scouting Dept.
The Packers won’t have a first-round pick in 2026 because of the Micah Parsons trade.
Even so, despite their slow start to the season, they’re still projected to be one of the last – if not the last – teams standing in the league this season.
Considering that, they will have to dig deep into the talent pool to find the players they need to bolster their already-stacked roster.
The Packers’ defense underperformed for way too long before Jeff Hafley took the reins as defensive coordinator last season.
And with Hafley already being a way-too-early candidate for the next head coaching cycle, GM Brian Gutekunst will have to make sure that whoever takes the reins of that unit has all the players and resources he needs to succeed.
