Greenville Police spokesperson Major Misty Mew told the Associated Press that officers responded to a call just after midnight in a residential and commercial area.
They discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Though not officially identified at the scene, the victim was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead 30 to 40 minutes later. No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
