Unlocking the Unexpected Secret That Could Change Everything You Know About [Article Topic]

Picture this: the Cleveland Cavaliers, kings of the Eastern Conference just last season, yet somehow, their championship dreams slipped through their fingers when it mattered most. Why? Tough opponents, sure — but more bitterly, injuries lurking in the shadows. Now, enter Darius Garland, the man with the sore toe and a bold declaration that’s got everyone talking. Could one healthy Garland have actually steered this talented squad to a title? He’s convinced of it — “I think we would have won it. I say that pretty confidently.” But with surgery behind him and the season looming, all eyes are on whether he’ll bounce back and finally turn those playoff “what ifs” into “we did it.” The question remains: can the Cavs finally break through, or will history keep repeating itself? Let’s dig into the heart of Cleveland’s latest gamble.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were the best team in the Eastern Conference last season but sadly, their hopes were dashed when they entered the playoffs.

That was partly due to the intensity of their opponents, but also because of injuries that got the best of them.

Darius Garland was hurt during the playoffs, but he believes he could have made the ultimate difference.

He feels that if he had stayed healthy, the Cavaliers could have won a title.

“I think we would have won it. I say that pretty confidently,” Garland said.

Garland was incredibly solid during the regular season last year, averaging 20.6 points and 6.7 rebounds on 47.2 percent from the field.

Along with Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell, Garland was playing like a true All-Star and was reaching the heights fans had been waiting years for.

Unfortunately, his big toe problems sidelined him when the team needed him most.

That toe is still a problem, but he underwent surgery during the summer to repair it.

It’s not clear just how much the Cavaliers will get out of him at the start of the season, but there is hope he’ll be at 100 percent soon.

Cleveland certainly needs him in fine form when the playoffs roll around at the end of the season.

Their goal is to be the best team in the East again, but they need to do more than that.

They keep falling short of becoming true playoff contenders, and fans have grown restless and pessimistic.

If the Cavaliers can’t convert their regular-season success into a lot of playoff wins, there will be many calls for this team to be broken up.

Garland feels Cleveland could have gotten it done last season, and now the stakes and expectations are even higher in 2025-26.
