“It was a stroke of good fortune that our league adopted our name, League 42,” Lutz said. “Thank goodness someone thought of this name because in the 12 years since, we have devoted our mission to Jackie and all he represents. Our players are encouraged to know his story and his presence is felt everywhere.”

You probably remember hearing about League 42 in January 2024. Vandals cut down the statue of Robinson on display at McAdam Park, where the league plays its games, and pieces were found in another local park, charred from a fire.
