Danielson has called a handful of SEC games over the course of his career with CBS. Just this past year though, he called Big Ten games due to the network’s new media rights deal.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, fans are convinced Danielson wanted to retire because he was sick of calling Big Ten games.
“Traded LSU-Auburn and Georgia-Florida every year for USC-Wisconsin and Ohio State-Iowa I don’t blame him,” one fan commented.
