Nearly three months after winning the national title, Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes received their championship rings.

Ohio State entered the College Football Playoff with zero momentum, especially after losing to Michigan in the regular-season finale. Some people even wanted the athletic department to make a coaching change. Instead of giving into the pressure, the Buckeyes tuned out the noise and went on an exceptional run.

In the span of a month, Ohio State defeated Tennessee, Oregon, Texas and Notre Dame en route to winning its first national championship since 2015.

Before this weekend’s spring game, Ohio State’s 2024 roster had the chance to showcase its new hardware.

If the Buckeyes are going to win back-to-back national titles, they’ll need to make sure they get sufficient play from their starting quarterback. Obviously, replacing Will Howard won’t be easy.

Prior to this Saturday’s spring game, Day revealed what he wants to see from Julian Sayin and the rest of the quarterback room.

“I just want to see them continue to grow and see it carry over from what we’re seeing in practice,” Day said. “You know, when you put them in a game like environment, you want to see how they handle everything that comes with being in a game and managing the game. That includes taking care of the football, playing well in third down in the red zone and in two minutes drills.”

Ohio State will enter the 2025 season as one of the odds-on favorites to win it all.
