Unveiling the Surprising NHL Offseason Makeovers: Which Teams Are Poised to Shock the League?

The Golden Knights are going to be a force next season thanks to one of the league’s most stacked forward groups. Losing Nicolas Roy and Victor Olofsson isn’t a big deal when the team has so much depth already and they’re adding a top 15 forward to the mix on top of that.
Adding Marner wasn’t the only news of the summer, though. Vegas’ standing took a hit when it was revealed that Alex Pietrangelo’s playing days were likely over. While Pietrangelo may not be the player he once was, likely due to injury, he was still a very capable top-four option that brought stability to the back end. It’s a hole that will be difficult to fill and while Kaedan Korczak is an extremely interesting internal option, Vegas’ defense corps is still obviously worse without Pietrangelo around. He’s a big loss that dampens the effect of adding a superstar.
