Vic Fangio’s Unexpected Two-Word Verdict on Eagles’ CB Battle Sparks Buzz

When it comes to football’s most star-studded ensembles, the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t just playing the game—they’re rewriting the rulebook on what “stacked” truly means. But here’s the kicker: with such a loaded roster, the margin for error is thinner than ever. So, how exactly does Vic Fangio, the Eagles’ defensive mastermind, navigate the perilous tightrope of picking who earns the final nod in a secondary brimming with talent? Picture this—two players, Keele Ringo and Adoree’ Jackson, locked in a showdown so tight it’s got everyone on edge. Does Jackson’s “prove-it” contract signal a comeback story in the making, or will the rising Ringo seize the moment to shine? As the summer heats up, Fangio’s dilemma might just be the juiciest subplot in football this year. And honestly, isn’t that the kind of “problem” every championship-worthy team dreams of?

The Philadelphia Eagles are the most stacked team in all of football right now.

As such, whoever gets the nod to start will have no margin for error, as there will be someone right there to take his spot.

Notably, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will have a tough time figuring out who’s going to get the final spot in the secondary.

Only Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell are locks to start after their impressive rookie seasons.

When asked about that, Fangio admitted that the competition between Keele Ringo and Adoree’ Jackson will be one of the key storylines of the summer, per Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation:

“It’s close,” Fangio said of the competition between Kelee Ringo and Adoree’ Jackson.

Just last week, Fangio claimed that this was Jackson’s chance to prove that he either had it or he didn’t, so it looks like the veteran has done a solid job and has changed his coach’s perception.

The Eagles signed him to a one-year, “prove it” type of deal worth $1.75 million.

He’s been in the league for eight years, and he has failed to live up to the high expectations around him.

Playing for the Tennessee Titans and New York Giants, he’s made 97 appearances with 82 starts, logging 404 total tackles, 61 pass deflections, six forced fumbles, and four interceptions.

Ringo, on the other hand, has only started five of 34 games in his two years with the organization, but he looks ready to embrace a bigger role for the reigning Super Bowl champions.

It won’t be an easy decision to make, but this is the best problem any team could have.
