Gadsden burst onto the scene against the Colts on Oct. 19 with 164 receiving yards and two touchdowns, but his production has been down the past three weeks so he should probably be relegated to a matchup starter.
The Chargers play the Eagles next week, and the one part of the team that is still performing at a high level for the Eagles is the pass defense. Philadelphia has allowed just 12 passing touchdowns this year (tied for the second fewest in the NFL) and is allowing 6.64 yards per pass attempt (ninth best in the NFL). Justin Herbert is banged up, the Chargers have a lot of mouths to feed, and Gadsden could be one that gets lost in the shuffle against this tough pass defense.
