This deep into the 2025 NFL season, it’s never easy to navigate the injury report. Each week new players end up on the shelf, and we’re scrambling as fantasy football managers to find a solution. Below we’ll go over which players were injured in Week 9 and then look ahead to Week 10.

Week 9 injury recap

Tucker Kraft, TE, Packers (knee): A dream season is over for one of fantasy’s top tight ends. After Kraft exited Week 9’s upset loss to the Panthers with a knee injury, head coach Matt LaFleur wasn’t optimistic about his status. On Monday, NFL Network reported Kraft suffered a torn ACL, ending his season. It’s unfortunate on multiple levels given how well Kraft was playing this season. Luke Musgrave and John FitzPatrick will be tasked with stepping up at TE. But in terms of fantasy, it might benefit some of Green Bay’s receivers, though it’s a net-negative for the offense overall. Rookie WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) also left and did not return.

Jayden Daniels, QB, Commanders (elbow): It’s been the sophomore season from hell for Daniels, who was injured in the second half of Sunday Night Football vs. the Seahawks. Daniels was rushing toward the end zone with Washington trailing and suffered a dislocated elbow on the play. You’ve got to think this is the end of Daniels’ season, but we’re awaiting further updates on his status the rest of the way.

Kyler Murray, QB, Cardinals (foot): Kyler Murray was put on IR with his foot injury, ruling him out for the next four games, at minimum. Considering how the offense has been performing with Jacoby Brissett in both reality and fantasy, the Cardinals might actually be better off.

You never want to wish injury on any player, no matter the situation, but the data proves it: The likes of Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride have been much better off of late with Brissett under center.

C.J. Stroud, QB, Texans (concussion): Stroud took a big hit to the head in the first half vs. the Broncos and didn’t return. He’s been placed in concussion protocol and will miss Week 10.

Davis Mills entered in relief against Denver and finished with 137 yards and no TDs, leading Houston to just nine points in a 18-15 loss. The Texans offense was already operating at a low level prior to Stroud leaving and this only makes matter worse. With Mills set to be under center in Week 10, it’s a downgrade to the entire offense.

Aaron Jones Sr., RB, Vikings (shoulder): Jones left late in the Vikings’ win over the Lions due to an AC joint sprain in his shoulder and the injury isn’t considered serious, per NFL Network. Still, Jones had missed four games due to a hamstring injury already this season. The aging back keeps collecting injuries, which isn’t a good sign long term. Jones did look good before leaving with 98 yards on 11 touches. If Jones misses time again, Jordan Mason will be back to RB1 duties for Minnesota.

Kayshon Boutte, WR, Patriots (hamstring): Boutte was forced to exit early in Week 9’s win over the Falcons due to a hamstring injury. Boutte had been a preferred option in the passing game for QB Drake Maye to this point in the season, catching four TDs over the previous three games. If Boutte misses time, Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas are the biggest benefactors with potential bumps for Mack Hollins and Hunter Henry as well.
