Iowa State’s 2027 recruiting class is up to two players following the commitment of San Antonio native Bryson Thompson Monday evening.

Thompson chose the Cyclones over offers from: Baylor, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, UTSA, Colorado State, Texas State, Tulsa and NAIA’s Langston.
In three years of high school football, his stats include 19 rushes for 186 yards and 120 receptions for 1,481 yards as well as 20 touchdowns. The 2025 season saw the 5-foot-10, 175 pound wide receiver, haul in 70 receptions for 848 yards and 11 touchdowns.
