Hunter and his fellow teammate, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, are both expected to be selected in the top five of the 2025 NFL Draft. Colorado head coach Deion Sanders hopes that they are the first two picks in the draft when it starts on April 24.
“They should be going 1-2, that’s the way I feel about it. They are the two best players in this draft,” Sanders said, via ESPN’s Jeff Legwold. “The surest bets in this draft are those two young men, and I didn’t stutter or stammer when I said that.”
If the Tennessee Titans take Miami quarterback Cam Ward first overall, the Browns will have a chance to select Hunter with the second overall pick.Â
