Why Brock Bowers' Surprising NFL Top 100 Ranking Has Everyone Talking

Did anyone really expect a 22-year-old rookie tight end to not only shake up the NFL but also snag the No. 1 spot among his peers on the Top 100 list? Brock Bowers didn’t just make waves—he practically tsunami’d through the league with a trailblazing rookie season for the Las Vegas Raiders, racking up 112 catches for nearly 1,200 yards despite some serious quarterback turbulence. Now, with Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly, and Geno Smith in his corner, the question isn’t if he’ll improve — it’s just how spectacular his 2025 campaign will turn out. Could this be the dawn of Brock Bowers’ reign as the tight end king, or is football about to witness an even bigger surge from this young phenom? Either way, Raiders fans—and frankly, anyone who loves a good underdog story—should be buzzing.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers had the best rookie season for a tight end in NFL history last year, carrying the team’s offense with 112 catches for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns despite having a shaky quarterback situation.

At just 22 years of age, the best is yet to come for the young star, though he is already getting plenty of recognition on the NFL’s Top 100 list due to his incredible rookie campaign.

On the recent Top 100 list, Bowers made his debut all the way up at No. 24, and also ranked No. 1 among tight ends.

“TE Brock Bowers was voted the 24th-best player in the NFL — and the No. 1 TE in football — in the NFL’s Top 100 list,” Meirov posted on X.

It’s quite the honor for a 22-year-old tight end, but Bowers did nothing to suggest that he isn’t already the best tight end in football last season.

Now that he has Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly, and Geno Smith in the facility alongside him, he could have an even better year in 2025.

Las Vegas didn’t do anything drastic to upgrade its unspectacular wide receiver room this offseason, so all signs point to Bowers being far and away the No. 1 option in the passing game.

Bowers is certainly living up to the lofty expectations that come with being the 13th pick in the draft, and he bucked the trend of tight ends taking a few years to make an impact in the NFL.

Raiders fans should be proud of their guy, and it’s going to be special to watch him continue to get better.
