Wisconsin Snatches Surprise Commitment from Oregon State’s Top 2026 Cornerback Prospect

When a promising cornerback like Donavan Dunmore flips his commitment, you know it’s more than just a simple change of plans—it’s a shift in momentum for Wisconsin’s 2026 recruiting scene. Originally pledged to Oregon State since late June, this three-star standout from California took in the Badgers’ campus over the weekend and, well, that visit clearly struck a chord. Ranked No. 68 among cornerbacks nationally by 247Sports, Dunmore’s decision to join Wisconsin as the 15th member of their class isn’t just a number—it’s a statement of intent for a program eager to climb the Big Ten ladder. I find it fascinating how a combination of family talks and on-site experience can steer a young athlete’s path so decisively. With offers flooding in from schools like San Diego State, Arizona, and Boise State, the Badgers have clearly made a compelling case. It makes you wonder what the campus vibe and coaching mojo must have been like this past weekend. Anyway, I’ll be watching how this piece of the recruiting puzzle fits into the bigger picture as the season approaches. LEARN MORE
