“Obviously, the first-round picks (Nos. 6, 22 and 31) for us were a no-go from the start,” Briere said. “We spent a lot of time and a lot of frustration acquiring those first round picks. So, we’re trying to be extra careful with that.”
This is the second trade between Anaheim and Philadelphia this year. The Ducks sent defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a second-round pick in the 2025 draft to the Flyers for forward Cutter Gauthier on Jan. 8.
