2027 5-Star CB A’mir Sears Shocks Fans by Choosing Miami Hurricanes – What This Means for College Football’s Future!
The former West Broward standout chose Miami over finalists LSU, Michigan and Texas A&M after also drawing interest from programs including Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Auburn, Florida and Syracuse. The Hurricanes originally offered Sears in July 2024, and he remained a priority target throughout his recruitment.
Sears will play his junior season at Christopher Columbus High School after helping West Broward win the first state championship in program history. During his sophomore campaign, he proved to be one of the nation’s premier two-way players by recording 61 tackles, 11 pass breakups, three interceptions and a forced fumble on defense while producing 49 receptions for 942 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on offense. As a freshman, he accumulated 57 tackles, four interceptions, 25 catches, 501 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
