2027 DL’s Shocking Choice: Why Alabama Beat Out Ole Miss and Michigan in a Stunning Twist
Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide are building their defensive line of the future, landing a valuable prospect in 2027 lineman Avrian Pauley.
Pauley announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Saturday, per On3 insider Hayes Fawcett. Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, he chose the Crimson Tide over the Florida State Seminoles, Michigan Wolverines, and Ole Miss Rebels.
Pauley grew up rooting for Alabama, which was a big role in the ultimate decision. The extremely strong relationship with Freddie Roach was the biggest factor, however, with consistent praise for the defensive line coach and bond the two built over several months.
