After the ruling from a Texas state judge that Sorsby can play in 2026, there were such schools as Nebraska, a member of the Big Ten conference, and Georgia, a member of the SEC, that they wouldn’t schedule contests with the Red Raiders.
“On Monday, not long after the court order was released, top administrators at Big Ten member Nebraska and SEC member Georgia informed their coaches that they would not be permitted to schedule games against Texas Tech going forward,” Russo wrote.
