Can Red Wings Break the Flyers’ Curse and Ignite an NHL Winning Streak?
Minnesota hosts St. Louis at 8 p.m. ET with another streak in play. Quinn Hughes has recorded an assist in each of the Wild’s first seven games.
An eighth straight would place Hughes alongside rare company. Only John-Michael Liles and Filip Kuba have opened a season with assist streaks of at least eight games among NHL defensemen.
Kirill Kaprizov supplies Minnesota’s finishing threat. He has eight goals and 11 points through seven games. The Wild enter at 4-2-1, while the Blues carry a 3-2-1 record.
