Dabo Swinney Blasts CFP Overhaul: Is College Football’s Biggest Tradition on the Brink?
Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney has never held back his feelings regarding some of the major changes in the sport, and it’s not doing it with this one either. The two-time national champion defended championship weekend on the Always College Football podcast, via On3 Sports.
“I hate to see the championship games go away, but also I get it,” Swinney said. “I played in the first ever championship game, the 1992 SEC Championship Game. I hate to see that go away. I think it’s just awesome to be a part of that. There’s a lot of people out there that want it to go away because they can’t ever get to it.”
