Dante Fowler’s Surprising 1-Year Seahawks Deal: What It Means for His Career Revival
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) May 5, 2026
Fowler, 31, is coming off a season in which he registered three sacks in 17 games with the Dallas Cowboys. While his sack total was low, Fowler recorded 10 quarterback hits, which is in line with some of his better NFL seasons. He ranked 21st among all edge rushers, according to Pro Football Focus’ metrics.
After being selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, it took Fowler a few seasons to find his footing in the NFL. While he experienced a breakout year in his second season, picking up eight sacks, Fowler struggled in his third year and was eventually traded to the Los Angeles Rams.
