Florida’s Vernell Brown III Poised for Dramatic Return Against Georgia – Can He Change the Game?
Brown exploded into an emerging weapon right away under the former Tulane coach Sumrall. He grabbed six receptions for 117 yards in the season opening rout of Florida Atlantic University. He’s since grabbed three to five passes through his next three contests, including snatching five against Auburn for 86 yards on Sept. 19.
Sumrall and Brown will now face historic rival Georgia for the first time together. The historic rivalry has swung more the Bulldogs’ way in recent years. Georgia has claimed five straight wins under coach Kirby Moore, which also involved beating two different Gator coaches in Dan Mullen and Billy Napier.
