How Lane Kiffin Turned the Tables on Ole Miss to Secure a Game-Changing 4-Star RB Recruit
BREAKING: Four-Star RB Trey Martin has Committed to LSU, he tells me for @Rivals. The 5’10 200 RB from Winnsboro, LA chose the Tigers over Ole Miss and Florida,” reported Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports and Rivals on X, formerly Twitter.
Martin hails from Winnsboro, Louisiana and is a member of the class of 2027, ranked as a four-star recruit by rivals and other scouting services.
“The best in the boot stays inna boot,” Martin told Fawcett.
It certainly has to feel good for Kiffin to beat out his old team for a prized recruit after he has seen immense vitriol spewed his way from the Rebels program over the last seven months. Of course, Kiffin did choose to jump ship right before Ole Miss’ playoff run last year, which resulted in a trip to the semifinal round, and although he expressed his desire to continue coaching them through the tournament, the school ultimately shot down that request.
