How UCLA Outsmarted Texas and Michigan to Land the Nation’s Most Coveted Recruits

UCLA football immediately has grown aggressive on the College Football Recruiting trail under Bob Chesney. The new head coach already beat Michigan for linebacker Cain Brackney. Chesney and the Bruins defeated the Wolverines again Thursday, but also claimed a top 10 talent over Texas too.

Four-star George Toia accepted UCLA’s offer, handing Chesney the nation’s No. 8 defensive lineman. Toia confirmed his commitment with Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals.

He adds to a family lineage too in choosing the Bruins. Older brother Jay Toia starred in Westwood before landing with the Dallas Cowboys.
