How Will Stein's Bold Move Shattered Auburn's Tight End Commitment and Energized Kentucky's Recruit Chase

The Kentucky Wildcats football team and coach Will Stein are on a roll. After landing elite quarterback Jake Nawrot, the Cats have made noise, gaining predictions for top prospects, and getting commitments as well. On Thursday, they added another win to the list, flipping Auburn tight end commit Tank Proctor.

Proctor is a 6’5″, 213 lb tight end out of Florida who had previously committed to the Auburn Tigers over offers from Florida State, Miami, and others. His ability as a pass catcher earned him plenty of attention, and his ability to create mismatches make him a potential star. He earned a three-star rating from 247Sports, and ranks as the No. 756 player overall in the 2027 class in their composite rankings. He ranks in the top 500 by some services.
