Inside the Early Game Tactics That Could Decide the Nats-Pirates Pitching Duel
If you had to take one of these teams to make the playoffs or be competitive for the whole season, you’d have to pick the Pirates. If they can keep the team together and add to the successful starters they have, they have a real chance to make a deep postseason run in the near future. That’s something to worry about later. For now, I’m more curious about what we will get out of Ashcraft and Griffin today. Both teams are hitting rather well, but I like the way that the pitchers are throwing. I think this is a great opportunity to take the under through five. With both pitchers having the advantage the first time through, I think we could get three scoreless innings, and that means we just need to dodge the last two. Give me the first five under.Â
