Darian Mensah and the No. 7 Miami Hurricanes easily outmatched FAMU, improving to 2-0 after winning 77-7 over the Rattlers.
Miami did all of its damage in the first three quarters, going scoreless in the fourth period. They torched FAMU with 21 points in the opening quarter, then produced 28 points each in the second and third periods. The contest wasn’t even close.
Backup quarterback Luke Nickel enjoyed his time on the field, completing all eight of his passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Javian Mallory and Mark Fletcher Jr. combined for 247 yards and four touchdowns, while six different players caught touchdown passes in the receiving game.
