Joel Embiid’s Mysterious Knee Scare: What It Means for 76ers’ Season and Paul George’s Long-Awaited Debut
Embiid played just 19 games last season due to lingering issues with his left knee, and he underwent knee surgery in April. He’s played in just six games so far this season while the team takes a cautious approach with him, and every absence he’s had before Tuesday night was scheduled. According to ESPN, he’ll continue to sit out parts of back-to-back games throughout the season like he’s done so far already.
Embiid has averaged 19.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He was fined $50,000 by the league last month after he made a “lewd gesture” during a loss to the Celtics.
