Joel Klatt Unleashes Fiery Critique: Is Brendan Sorsby’s Ruling a Game-Changer or a Shocking Misstep?
Fox Big Noon Kickoff’s Joel Klatt weighed in on the ruling on Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby. Sorsby was granted an injunction that allows him to play for Texas Tech in the 2026 season. The NCAA has filed an appeal.

Sorsby admittedly placed bets on several college football games during his time at Indiana, including at least 40 on his teammates. Per Sorsby, he bet on his teammates to succeed. The temporary injunction comes after Sorsby sued the NCAA for ruling him ineligible for his 2022 bets as a redshirt freshman for the Hoosiers. As a condition of the temporary injunction, he will not play in Texas Tech’s first two games this fall.
