John Portis’ Shocking 2026 NFL Mock Draft: How the Washington Commanders’ Bold Trade Could Change Everything

Good speed, should test well.
Good, intense wrap up tackler.
Strong interior defender.
Collapses very well off of the edge as a run defender.
Good upper body strength.
Good motor through the play.
Will chase the play downfield and plays… pic.twitter.com/KirKmEwrXJ

Round 7

At this point, fans are posting on social media everywhere about the lack of a selection at center. The depth of the class is good enough that value finally meets need in the final frame of the draft.

No. 223 Overall – Bryce Foster, Center, Kansas

Kansas had a poor season in 2025 and, fair or not, the evaluations of several prospects were impacted. One such player is Bryce Foster who did not receive an invite to the NFL Combine. Foster was listed as on Feldman’s Freaks list and is a dual-sport athlete for Kansas as a member of their track and field team.

Foster has good size, power, and anchor with ability to move in space. Unfortunately, his foot speed and overall athleticism is concerning, as is his lack of consistency on a rep-by-rep basis. Still, he has 53 starts at center, and with some time to develop he could become a viable starter for the Commanders and is a final selection for Adam Peters.
