Legendary Pirates Hero Bob Skinner’s Untold Story Surfaces as Baseball Mourns His Passing at 94

Former Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder and coach Bob Skinner has died, the club confirmed Tuesday. He was 94 years old.

Skinner won two World Series with the club, first as a player on the 1960 championship team that took down the New York Yankees and then as a coach for the 1979 Pirates squad that outlasted the Baltimore Orioles.

Skinner was a three-time All-Star and also won a World Series while playing for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1964.
