LSU’s Defensive Anchor Whit Weeks Faces Unexpected Setback Ahead of Epic Alabama Showdown
LSU head coach Lane Kiffin had expressed optimism about Weeks’ potential return before the team’s bye week. The defensive stalwart has recorded 23 tackles and a pass breakup in four appearances this season.
Weeks has been a consistent contributor during his time in Baton Rouge, racking up 170 tackles across his first two seasons. However, injuries have repeatedly interrupted his career, including a lower-leg issue in 2024 and another setback during the 2025 campaign.
Weeks’ potential absence would be significant against an Alabama offense that ranks 12th nationally in scoring, averaging 38.3 points per game. The Crimson Tide will enter the contest looking to recover several players who have also dealt with injuries.
