LSU’s Lane Kiffin Drops Shocking Update on Sam Leavitt’s Injury Status—What It Means for the Season
“He’s gonna be able to do full summer stuff,” said Kiffin about Leavitt. ”I don’t know what the exact date is, but yes, he’s going to be able to do full stuff in the summer.”
This is a nice step in the right direction after Sam Leavitt was limited during spring practices. He is expected to be the starting quarterback for LSU next season, but should have some stiff competition with transfers Landen Clark and Husan Longstreet.
LSU is Leavitt’s third collegiate program in his college football career. He started with the Michigan State Spartans as a true freshman in 2023, where he played four games before being redshirted. He then transferred to Arizona State to play under head coach Kenny Dillingham, where Leavitt played as the starter immediately.
