LSU’s Whit Weeks Racing Against Time to Face Alabama After Shattering Leg—Can He Defy the Odds?
Now, it looks like Weeks might be nearing a return. He might even be able to return to practice next week and is reportedly targeting a Nov. 7 game against Alabama to return, via Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Weeks is one of the leaders of this LSU squad, and he was even awarded the No. 7 before the season to signify that as a program tradition. He has already missed four games with the injury, and he is hoping that he doesn’t have to miss any more as the Tigers are on a bye in Week 9.
LSU has been struggling with more injuries on the offensive side of the ball in addition to Weeks being sidelined. Star tight end Trey’Dez Green has dealt with multiple injuries this season, but he is back on the field and got into the end zone in a win over Auburn on Saturday. Quarterback Sam Leavitt has also dealt with a number of issues this season, including a hamstring injury, but he has played through it and has the bye to get better.
