Malcolm Brogdon’s Unexpected NBA Retirement Stuns Fans Days After Knicks Agreement
Malcolm Brogdon is calling it a career.
Brogdon announced his decision to retire from the league after nine seasons on Wednesday afternoon, just a week before he and the New York Knicks were set to officially open the 2025-26 campaign.

“Today, I officially begin my transition out of my basketball career,” Brogdon said in a statement, via ESPN’s Shams Charania. “I have proudly given my mind, body and spirit to the game over the last few decades. With the many sacrifices it took to get here, I have received many rewards.
